Sketching late movember

My internship is about to end in a month. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. This year has flown by!

I often think what will happen once I'm not in school anymore, or not working as a intern. I'd like to think that my current employer will keep me around for part time freelancing. ( One can hope )

However I found out it's important to live in the now. I'm not saying you shouldn't evaluate yesterday or last week. Thinking about last year is another thing though. What I mean, is... whatever situation you find yourself in, make the best out of it.

I made these three black and white sketches while listening to Noah Bradley while he was painting and doing some Q&A. You can see them below. The rest are sketches during lunch breaks and last a quick photo study. Enjoy!

About me

I am a concept artist and digital illustrator from the Netherlands. My passion is creating locations that set the stage for a story. As a young child I was often inspired by going on long hikes through the mountains of Austria with my parents and staying at the beach during summer holidays.

I was brought up with Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, cartoons, playing outside, toy cars and painting miniature models for a hobby. I also had a obsession for drawing lighthouses.

Many years later I transformed my creativity, love for nature, films, games and vehicles into a professional business.

Today I constantly observe the world around me and let nature still inspire me to paint scenes from my home country. I hope to one day incorporate my personal work into a professinal project for the game- or movie industry.
