I found a brilliant photograph of some clouds at sunset and just had to make a study of it. This is, ofcourse, a cropped version of it. I focussed on the colors and overal mood and tried to simplify the shapes. It took me just over an hour and I tried to keep in mind the many lessons I learned in order to keep things simple and straightforward. I'm pleased with the end result and really enjoyed myself :)

About me
I am a concept artist and digital illustrator from the Netherlands. My passion is creating locations that set the stage for a story. As a young child I was often inspired by going on long hikes through the mountains of Austria with my parents and staying at the beach during summer holidays.
I was brought up with Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, cartoons, playing outside, toy cars and painting miniature models for a hobby. I also had a obsession for drawing lighthouses.
Many years later I transformed my creativity, love for nature, films, games and vehicles into a professional business.
Today I constantly observe the world around me and let nature still inspire me to paint scenes from my home country. I hope to one day incorporate my personal work into a professinal project for the game- or movie industry.
